Beef Recall due to Concern for E.Coli O157:H7

Is this even real life?

Waking up today, I didn’t expect to be posting about E.Coli. Especially E.Coli O157:H7..

But.. that’s how it is in the food and nutrition world. Things happen in a moment. And those moments can have life long results..

I’m particularly drawn to this recall for a few reasons..

  1. Recall of beef due to concern for E.Coli O157:H7 = the exact scenario discussed in ‘Poisoned: The Dirty Truth About Your Food’ talks about this in depth!

  2. Location. I’ve spent years living and loving San Antonio. I am in disbelief that the product made it to restaurants..

  3. Concern. Not all recalls are the same. Recalls can happen for various reasons.. something as simple as a mislabeling to as major as a foodborne illness outbreak. This is one on the major side of the scale..
