The wonderful reporter and journalist, Helena Bottemiller Evich, launched Food Fix, a publication which covers the formula shortage as well as other food policy issues. Helena's in-depth views and knowledge have been amazingly helpful in uncovering the details and concerns, often hidden from the limelight.

In 2011, the USDA launched MyPlate. This resource is a great resemblance of what meals "should" look like with an example of portion sizes in comparison to your dinner plate. This is a tool I utilize as a mental check to help in meal planning.
